Bourbon Mulled Cider

Ingredients
- 16 fl ounces unfiltered apple cider
- 4 fluid ounces bourbon
- 2 tablespoons light brown sugar
- ½ naval orange
- ½ lemon
- 10 allspice berries
- 1 star anise
- 4 cardamom pods
- 1 bay leaf
Instructions

To a medium saucepan, add all of the ingredients. Stir and place it over medium-high heat until it reaches a gentle boil.

Bring the heat down to low and cook until fragrant and delicious, about 5 minutes. Turn the heat off and cover the pot. I like to keep it like this for guests. Every now and then you may need to turn the heat back on to warm it. And of course, this is a good recipe to double.
