Ingredients
- 2 medium Granny Smith apples
- 4 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- 1/2 teaspoon corn starch
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 unbaked pre-made pie crust
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Peel, core, and cut the apples into small pieces. Place the chopped apples in a medium bowl. Add the sugar, butter, corn starch, and cinnamon. Stir all the ingredients until the apples are evenly coated with cinnamon. Roll out the crust on top of a baking sheet sprayed with non-stick coating or lined with parchment paper. Spoon the apples on one side of the crust leaving a one inch gap of pie crust uncovered. Fold the empty half of the crust over itself to form a half moon pie. Crimp the edges with a fork. Cut a few slits on top of the pie and bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until the crust turns golden brown.
