Spaghetti Alla Carbonara

Ingredients
- 3-4 slices of bacon sliced (not diced) (I forego pancetta as it doesn't add that much for me, and complicates the recipes)
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons of shredded parmesan
- 1/2 lb. spaghetti
- good grind of fresh pepper
Instructions

Cook spaghetti al-dente

Cool bacon until amost crisp, but not too crisp

Drain - reserve 1/2 cup of liguid

Add spaghetti and bacon and drippings back to pot

Add egg - and stir/cook into the spaghetti on low heat

Add pepper

Add 1/2 parmesan
-
Serve with parmesan for each person to add
