- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup minced red onion
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 5 turns of the black pepper mill
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1/2 cup cider vinegar
- 2/3 cup maple syrup
Ingredients
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter. Add the red onion and the salt. Cook until onions are soft and translucent. Throw in the nutmeg, pepper and vinegar. Bring it up to a boil and add the syrup. Reduce by half.
