If you're addicted to Instagram like I am, you might have seen avocado roses. They're visually so beautiful and surprisingly super easy to do.
I figured it might be fun to show you a little tutorial if you, too, want to be OCD and make an avocado into a rose.
The first step is halving the avocado and removing the pitt.
The second step is to place the cut side down onto your cutting board and peel the outside of the avocado. If it's perfectly ripe, the surface will be flawless. Avocados are glorious, aren't they?
Then you take your sharpest and thinnest knife and make slices horizontally. These slices should be pretty close together.
Then fan it out using your hands. Instead of trying to pull the avocado slices apart, push them gently with your fingers. They'll fan out pretty easily.
The next step, is to fan them out into a long line. Take the smallest end and begin to roll it up.
Lastly, you want to push the top down, gently, so that the petals go outward.
That's it! Transfer it to the top of your favorite salad, eat it all by itself or add a bunch to a plate with some slices of grapefruit for a beautiful salad.
