Before there was ever a cupcake craze with endless cake and frosting combinations, the classic Easter cupcake was my favorite. Made with vanilla frosting coated in green-tinted, sweetened shredded coconut and the signature jelly beans nested on top, it was the only style of cupcake I recall seeing year after year in magazines, at bake sales, and in the grocery store bakery section.
Fast forward to today and the Easter treats I'm discovering on food blogs are original, fun, and super creative. Here are my top five Easter treats, all new to me, which you can prepare for your own families.
