Bryan Anderson is a true American hero. At the age of 19, Bryan joined the Army and was shipped out with his platoon on September 11, 2001, as part of the first US Invasion of Iraq.
It was in his second tour, while also stationed in the Baghdad area, that tragedy struck. An IED exploded beneath the Humvee that Bryan was driving, resulting in the loss of both of Bryans legs and his left hand, severe injuries that might have caused an average person to sink into depression.

Bryan is no average person. Despite being a triple amputee, he leads an incredibly full life. After 13 months of rehabilitation at Walter Reed Army Hospital, Bryan has returned to skateboarding, surfing and rock climbing, and gives motivational speeches for veteran organizations across the country.
Lidia makes Limoncello Tiramisu for Bryan, inspired by the birthday cakes that Bryan and his fellow soldiers would put together from the MRE (Meals Ready to Eat) supplies, while he was in Iraq.
