Hi there! My name is Adrianna and I'm a food blogger and author. In 2009 I started my blog, A Cozy Kitchen, and it's become this really happy place for me where I share recipes, photography and random rants that some people actually find interesting.
I wasn't always a person who lived in a kitchen. When I first graduated from college and moved to Los Angeles, I was working in Hollywood at a production company and feeling a bit restless and uncreative - that's when I turned to my kitchen. I began playing around in my kitchen at night and on the weekends. The need to over-share (one that is unique to my generation) was what birthed my blog, A Cozy Kitchen.
During the blog's early days, I tried to teach myself as much as I could about cooking. My father took note and purchased Jacques Pepin's old PBS programs on tips and technique. An entire vacation was spent with us two on the couch, absorbing some of the best technique videos ever created. To say I'm stoked to be joining the PBS food family would be an understatement!
In Spring of 2013, I authored my first cookbook, PANCAKES: 72 Sweet and Savory Recipes for the Perfect Stack, published by St. Martin's Press. It's a book filled to the brim of my favorite breakfast food around: pancakes. It was a joyful, carb-filled experience - one that I hope to get to do again someday.
I love food that's uncomplicated, honest to the ingredients which are used, delicious and sometimes decadent. Being born in the South, I get pretty excited about biscuits and pie. I was raised by two Latin American parents, who are Peruvian and Colombian, so the foods which I grew up on are pretty near and dear to my heart. My hope is that you'll enjoy the recipes I have in store for you.
