We’re gearing up for next week’s premiere of You’re Looking at Me Like I Live Here and I Don’t, Scott Kirschenbaum’s gentle and funny portrait of Lee Gorewitz, a resident at a care facility for people with Alzheimer’s.
For those of us who have family members coping with Alzheimer’s, it can also be refreshing to hear from others who live with the ups and downs, good days and bad days, and understand the existential feelings the disease evokes. And it also helps for us to tell our own stories. A few of us on staff have family members who are living with Alzheimer’s or other types of dementia, and in the coming days, we’ll be sharing our own stories with you.
But we’d also like to hear from you, our viewers, about how the disease has touched your lives.
