Joe Madison is featured in:

Season 6, Episode 12: DNA Mysteries
Season 5, Episode 10: All in the Family

Born in Dayton, Ohio, Joe Madison earned his degree from Washington University. While building his career as a civil rights activist with the NAACP, Madison was also beginning his journey as a socially conscious radio host. He went from Detroit's WXYZ-AM to WWDB in Philadelphia, to both WWRC and WOL-AM in Washington, DC, and ultimately SiriusXM Radio, where he continues to host his influential national morning program today. Known as "The Black Eagle," Madison demands action and challenges his audience by asking, "What are you going to do about it?"

A leader in the cause for social justice, Madison's SiriusXM program is a platform for inspiring action. He has traveled to war zones and ravaged areas, volunteering in places like Haiti, New Orleans, and South Sudan. In 2015, he was the first American radio host to broadcast live from Cuba in more than 50 years. He broke the Guinness World Record for "longest marathon hosting a radio talk show" (52 hours live), raising over $250,000 for the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture. In 2019, Madison received an honorary Doctor of Laws degree from Washington University for his work as a groundbreaking radio personality and human rights activist.
