The actor/producer/director/writer and Emmy winning narrator earned a BFA in acting from The Carnegie Mellon University School of Drama before going on to become known for his roles in the HBO hit series True Blood, the Magic Mike movies, Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, Pee Wee's Big Holiday, Sabotage, Rampage, and as super-villain DeathStroke in Zack Snyder’s DCEU. Some recent credits include Netflix’s Love, Death & Robots, and the indie films Shoplifter’s of the World and Archenemy, which were produced by his company 3:59.
Joe has a variety of projects to be released in the upcoming year, including the AMC series Moonhaven, Apple TV’s Mythic Quest, and he re-teamed with Zack Snyder for the upcoming Netflix series Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas. Manganiello just wrapped production on the Dark Comedy feature film The Kill Room, opposite Uma Thurman, and Samuel L. Jackson. The film, written by Jonathan Jacobson and directed by Nicol Paone, follows a hitman (Manganiello), his boss (Jackson), an art dealer (Thurman) and a money-laundering scheme that accidentally makes the hitman an art-world sensation.
Joe currently serves on the board of trustees for Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh.
