GUEST: Well, I was working for the Minnesota Twins in 1965 at Metropolitan Stadium, down in the kitchens in the basement. And the Beatles played there, and we served them dinner right before the show. My impression of the Beatles was that they were small, much smaller than I thought they would be.
APPRAISER: Yeah?
GUEST: And much paler.
APPRAISER: But you knew... you knew that they were big celebrities.
GUEST: We knew they were big celebrities, but we never knew they would be huge.
APPRAISER: You have a newspaper clipping here...
GUEST: Yes.
APPRAISER: that shows them in the locker room?
GUEST: Right, that's the Twins' locker room, and the gentleman there is Ray Crump-- he was the equipment manager at the time.
APPRAISER: Uh-huh.
GUEST: And we got some paper from him.
APPRAISER: Okay.
GUEST: I walked around and got the signatures.
APPRAISER: And you got them directly from the Beatles.
GUEST: I got-- oh, yeah, I walked around. I had my arm around Paul McCartney and was going to take a picture with him, but he wouldn't let us do it. But I remember Ringo and one of the other ones were playing a board game, and we just walked around and said, "Oh, can we have your autograph?"
APPRAISER: That's a great story. And the autographs are also great-- they're strong, you can see that they are done by four separate hands. These were done 1965, on the scene.
GUEST: Yes.
APPRAISER: I think a fair auction estimate would be between $5,000 and $6,000 for the set.
GUEST: Wow. Yes.
APPRAISER: Yeah.
GUEST: Excellent.
