APPRAISER: It is Italian. I think it's probably from the last half of the 19th century. You certainly, you could use this on a table with food.
GUEST: Yeah.
APPRAISER: But I would think, when it was new, it was bought to hang on a wall. There's a very old crack on the rim. It's really hard to see, and so it doesn't affect the visual appeal in the front.
GUEST: Right.
APPRAISER: But it does affect the value a little bit. So I would say that a retail value, with the crack, would probably be in the $500 to $800 range.
GUEST: Okay.
APPRAISER: If we didn't have the crack, maybe up to $1,000.
