GUEST: Gucci is not necessarily known that much for their scarves, that's really more of an Hermès thing. But when I saw this piece, I was actually at a horse show, it was in Lexington, Kentucky, and it was framed and beautiful and very expensive. And I was, like, "I want that, but I just don't want to spend $1,000," or whatever it was. So I tried to find it, it's from the mid-'80s, and I didn't think I would have great luck, and it popped up, like, the first time I searched for it. And I had it framed the same way as how I originally saw it. I just love it. I think I paid about $250 online at an auction site.
APPRAISER: At auction, I would probably say somewhere between $400 and $800 would be a fair price. I think you did well on that purchase, for sure.
GUEST: Okay.
APPRAISER: Plus, it looks great in the house.
GUEST: Plus, I love it, yeah.
APPRAISER: Yeah, now, the Hermès scarves, tough to pin down each one.
GUEST: Mm-hmm.
APPRAISER: But as a general rule of thumb, Hermès can sell anywhere from $200, $300 each, up to $1,000 or more.
GUEST: Okay. They're sometimes hard to use as, like, a styling piece, but when you frame them, become... They become beautiful art.
APPRAISER: It's artwork.
GUEST: So I'm happy with that.
APPRAISER: Beautiful artwork.
