GUEST: It came from a local antique dealer's. We paid $350 for it in '76.
APPRAISER: It is signed, it's Georg Klimt. His brother achieved more fame-- Gustav Klimt, the painter. But both members of the Vienna Secessionist Movement. Really it was, epitomized getting away from sort of the Rococo excesses and really going to sort of more simple geometric abstract forms. And the design is just amazing. It's hammered copper. You mentioned that you'd translated the motto in the middle.
GUEST: I think it's, it's loosely like the nursery rhyme, "Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the fairest of them all?"
APPRAISER: I think we're looking at value, at auction, probably conservatively in the $20,000 to $30,000 range.
GUEST: That's great.
