APPRAISER: These were your father's. Can you tell me a little more background on the items?
GUEST: All I know is that he had been involved in the Korean War and…
APPRAISER: Right.
GUEST: …while he was there, I think he picked these up as gifts to bring back home, and… he never gave them away, obviously.
APPRAISER: Right. When did you find these?
GUEST: Um, Just recently. in the garage. (both laughing)
APPRAISER: Just in a box, just wrapped up.
GUEST: Yeah, just in a box.
APPRAISER: Wow.
GUEST: Just as they are.
APPRAISER: What I love about them is the condition. Overall, the condition is fantastic. The jeep that's in front of you there, great piece, with the lithography on the box top. All of these toys are made-in-Japan…
GUEST: Okay.
APPRAISER: …toys.
GUEST: Yeah, I noticed some of them still have the Japan little price logo.
APPRAISER: Absolutely. This piece, being a Pan Am wind-up toy, I love the box top on this one. And you can see the Pan Am…
GUEST: Right.
APPRAISER: Across the label.
GUEST: That's what intrigued me first. I first had found this box…
APPRAISER: Right.
GUEST: …and then I found these after.
APPRAISER: And then the other two, that's great. This is what I call a crossover collectible, because it's a Pan Am collectible, also a wind-up toy collectible, and a made-in-Japan collectible.
GUEST: Oh!
APPRAISER: So you've got a number of people who are really interested in collecting these. This last piece, this is a wonderful piece, and I love this little fighter. It comes with its original box, and the wing snaps on. And just like the larger Pan Am plane, this is how this works, and we'll show you that once you wind it up, this would move. Now, it comes with a string, and the Pan Am plane also has one as well. And you have this little piece of metal.
GUEST: Uh-huh.
APPRAISER: You also have the clip that goes with it, which is great. What you would do is clip this here and then hang this…
GUEST: Uh-huh.
APPRAISER: …and while the propeller is spinning, this goes round and round and round.
GUEST: Oh, wow.
APPRAISER: Now, again, the value is in how complete this is and also in the condition. The condition is fantastic. This little guy's face here, this is made of celluloid.
GUEST: Okay.
APPRAISER: Which is a form of plastic, and what we have here is tin plate, and it's a wind-up. You have something in the $1,000 to $1,500 for the whole group…
GUEST: Wow!
APPRAISER: …for everything that's here, for these made-in-Japan toys.
GUEST: Very nice.
APPRAISER: Great, thanks for bringing them to Miami today.
GUEST: Thank you.
