GUEST: It was collected by my Aunt Dolly. Dolly was a colorful woman, well before her time.
APPRAISER: It's a Rhode Island, early Queen Anne tea table, 1720 to 1740. This is a truly New England piece of furniture. It is curly maple. We were talking about some of the marks on the top. Instead of it being a tea table, somebody used it as a work table where there has been hot pots. And this very interesting silhouette on the top here, which is a pair of scissors that were left there in the sun, and they got so hot they burned into the top. What do you suspect it's worth?
GUEST: Well, I was hoping you'd tell us that. I have no idea.
APPRAISER: Well, I've talked to my colleagues. We think that it's about $7,000 to $9,000.
GUEST: Wow.
