GUEST: I brought in a slate that was taken down from the twin spires. I found it at a yard sale, somebody didn't want it. I paid two dollars for it.
APPRAISER: Two dollars?
GUEST: Yeah, so, I live here in Louisville, and it's a little piece of history. It hangs in my kitchen, so people usually do comment on it, just kind of ask me about it. And I just know that, what it says on the plaque there.
APPRAISER: Well, two bucks is a lot better than climbing the roof to try to pull it off.
GUEST: Yes, it is.
APPRAISER: And obviously, someone took some artistic license here.
GUEST: Yeah.
APPRAISER: And I think it's fantastic.
GUEST: Yeah, fantastic.
APPRAISER: But with the limited research I've done, I'd still put an estimate of $200 to $400.
GUEST: That's amazing-- that's awesome! Oh, that's wonderful, thank you.
APPRAISER: See? This is your winning ticket!
GUEST: It is, thank you, yeah. And a lot, a lot safer bet, for sure. (laughs) Thank you.
