Biography
Sara Wishart is an independent appraiser and consultant of antiques and personal property. She is a generalist appraiser, with extensive knowledge of decorative arts and furniture, and a specialty in silver.
Sara is a veteran of the auction world, having spent nearly 14 years with the New England auction house Skinner, Inc., where she was director of the Fine Silver department, deputy director of the Fine Books & Manuscripts department, and a specialist in European furniture and decorations.
With a master's degree (M.Phil.) in furniture and decorative arts from the University of Glasgow, Sara brings enthusiasm for antiques of all kinds to her appraisal and consulting practice. Sara works in association with fellow appraiser Stuart Whitehurst at Marvin & Whitehurst Appraisal Group, Inc., and has been a silver appraiser on Antiques Roadshow since 2007.
