This is a full-time position, starting in mid-January 2012, for a 52-week employment contract, with a high likelihood of renewal plus full benefits. No travel is required. Internship Description: NOVA Online interns assist the editorial staff of NOVA's Web site through content and photo research and general administrative support. In addition, the Web intern will have opportunities to screen forthcoming episodes of NOVA and participate in developing ideas and producing content for companion Web sites. He or she will also learn how to convert video, sound, and photographic material to digital media and clear the rights to use such material online. The NOVA Online intern is a welcome participant in weekly Web site editorial meetings. Requirements: Strong writing skills and an enthusiasm for science, plus the ability to work 15-20 hours per week (hours are flexible). Please note that this is a content production internship; Skills in design applications and programming are not required. Internships are offered three times per year -- during the fall and spring semesters and during the summer. Note: All interns must be currently enrolled in an academic course and able to receive academic credit for their internship.
