Build an Atoll (3)

Over time, as wind, rain, and waves eat away at its surface, the island becomes smaller. It also begins to sink, or subside.

As the island sinks, so does the coral reef. But new coral grows on top of the old, and if it grows fast enough, the top of the reef remains at sea level. A lagoon forms between the island and the coral reef.
