The first episode of Van der Valk Season 3 brings a new day and a new dawn for Dutch detective Piet Van der Valk as he welcomes two new sergeants to the team, the hotshot but impulsive Eddie Suleman and the technical whiz Citra Li.

The Van der Valk cast includes Marc Warren as the title character, with Maimie McCoy and Emma Fielding reprising their respective roles as Inspector Lucienne Hassell and Chief Commissaris Julia Dahlman. The new recruits are Citra Li played by Django Chan-Reeves and Eddie Suleman played by Azan Ahmed.
