    Morwenna Takes a Break

    Worried for Drake’s safety, Morwenna breaks things off to protect him from George Warleggan’s ire. She puts on a brave face and tries to convince the crestfallen Carne brother that she never really loved him. The young pair parts ways, to brood on their respective cliffs.

    Is this the end of their love story?

  2. 2.

    Sans Ross, Demelza Flies Solo.

    While Ross is away on a rescue mission, Demelza joins Caroline at a local party, hoping to get more inside information on Dwight’s condition. But George is also in attendance, ready to bad-mouth Ross at every opportunity.

    The Poldark-Warleggan feud reaches its an all-time high when George asks Demelza, “Do you think [Ross] will ever grow up?”

    To which Demelza brightly replies, “I don’t know, George. Will you?”

    Go, Demelza, go! 

  3. 3.

    Ross to the Rescue!

    Ross and his crew arrive on French soil, sneak into the prison, and find Dwight; unfortunately, that’s where their luck ends. A rogue prisoner alerts the authorities to their escape, and suddenly leaving the prison proves to be the biggest challenge. It’s quite the predicament, even for Ross Poldark.

  4. 4.

    R.I.P. Captain Henshawe

    After saving the day with some secret explosives, the loyal Captain Henshawe is killed in action.

    Demelza’s brother Drake is also shot, though not fatally. The crew is forced into a race against time, desperate to get Drake the medical attention he needs to cheat death.

  5. 5.

    Meet Lieutenant Armitage

    Everyone arrives home safe, sound, yet saddened by the loss of Captain Henshawe. They hold a moving funeral on the Cornish cliffs of Cornwall where Henshawe once worked tirelessly in the Poldark mines.

    Yet Dwight’s rescue saved another life: young Lieutenant Hugh Armitage. He is eternally grateful to Ross, and promises to make the most of his newfound freedom.
