1. Dwight & Caroline Find Wedded Bliss
It’s the wedding of the season! Dwight and Caroline secretly marry in a country church, then share an adorable moment together before he leaves for the Navy. We present for the first time: Mr. and Mrs. Enys!
2. George & Ross Make a Deal
In a rare show of self-control, Ross pays a visit to George to ensure his relations are safe in the new Trenwith. We never thought we’d see the day! Is this the dawn of a new era?
3. Poldarks, and Carnes, and Chynoweths—Oh My!
Meet the new faces in Season 3! Demelza’s handsome younger brothers (Drake and Sam), Elizabeth’s well-intentioned cousin (Morwenna), and an old swashbuckler from Ross’ past (Tholly Tregirls)–all converge in Cornwall.
4. It’s a Boy!
When George starts asking questions about the timing of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, she goes to desperate measures. A broken vase and fake fall down the stairs explain the “early” birth baby Valentine.
Does this mean the suspicion surrounding him is banished once and for all?
5. Demelza is Expecting (Unexpectedly)
Demelza breaks some big news to Ross: She’s with child again! Will this new addition inspire some positive change for a couple on the rocks?
6. Trip to Tahiti?
No, our rough-and-ready hero is not shipping off to a tropical paradise. “Tehidy” is the house of local politician Sir Francis Basset, who is eager to harness Ross’ clout with the people of Cornwall. Ross is offered a magistrate position (by Reverend Halse, no less!) but he declines; he just couldn’t bring himself to judge his fellow men.
7. …Bliss Over!
Just as quickly as Dwight and Caroline find happiness, it’s taken away! Dwight’s naval career is quickly cut short when he is ambushed by French forces. Is he still alive? Is he being held prisoner? Poor Caroline is left to hope for the best. Unfortunately, this also pains the Poldarks: Ross is now heading to France, determined to find his best friend.
