Kalami
The house used in The Durrells in Corfu may not be available to the public, but it’s still possible to get a taste of the Durrell family life!
On the northeast coast of Corfu lies Kalami Bay, where Lawrence Durrell (Larry) once lived with his wife. His former residence, called the “White House,” still stands overlooking the bay. It’s possible to stay there overnight–or for quick trips, visitors can eat or drink in the house’s taverna. Kumquat liqueur, anyone?

Corfu Town
Traveling inward to the center of the island, you can visit Corfu Town, a place the Durrell family once really lived.
Just as the community came together (or not) for cricket in The Durrells in Corfu Season 2, visitors to Corfu town can catch a game on the historic central green.
Bonus tip: Corfu Town is very close to the resort frequented by the cast of The Durrells in Corfu.

Agni Bay
Are you after that “exotic” look Margo craves? Just south of Agni Bay lies a beach used in The Durrells Season 1, where a hapless Margo tried to sunbathe in front of a Greek Orthodox shrine.
In the book My Family and Other Animals, Gerry has a more scandalous take on the beach: it’s a skinny-dipping spot for Larry and his fellow bohemians!

Danilia
Want to see where the Durrells go to market in Season 2? Head to the tiny replica village of Danilia, modeled after a 1930s Corfiot village. It was the setting for much of The Durrells Season 2, as well as the James Bond film For Your Eyes Only.
The village is privately-owned, but tours are available.
